We're proud of Site Mechanic, very proud in fact. One of the reasons we feel that we've done a good job is that the very site you're looking at has been built using Site Mechanic!
It's been in development for approximately eight years, and now we feel that it's ready. Previously we've had that niggly feeling that it's still a bit amateur, but not any more. Now it is more than capable of providing content management for most web sites out there, and provides a solid base for ongoing feature expansion.
Something that sets it apart is that Site Mechanic comes integrated into our hosting package. You don't actually pay for the tool, you pay for the hosting at a very competitive rate. You then use Site Mechanic to manage your site and your hosting, and also your email accounts. That does mean we don't provide you with FTP access to the hosting, but most people don't want that anyway, they just want the ability to manage their site by themselves with ease.
