What's a theme?
A theme is a collection of images and styles to dictate how a web page will look.
Why use themes?
By using themes you can easily control how your web site will look to the outside world. You can apply a theme to your entire site, or different themes to different sections. Creating a theme is easy, and you can make any design into a theme within minutes... which means that you can give your site a real individual identity.
What if I'm not a designer?
You don't have to be an expert web-designer to make use of Site Mechanic's themes system. We've provided a selection of pre-installed themes for you to choose from. Choose 'Example themes' from the menu on the right to see a sample of pre-installed themes.
What if I already have a design?
Site Mechanic was originally built for companies who already have a web design and just need the content management side of things catered for. For this reason it's really easy for you to use your own web design.
